Rear CROSSMEMBER Bushing - Spring Link

- Position bushing (1) over rear of crossmember bushing bore.
- Assemble tools over bushing and crossmember as shown. Ensure Receiver, Special Tool 9032-3 (4), is positioned to avoid welds on rear of crossmember bushing bore.
- Using hand tools, tighten Press screw-drive, pressing bushing into crossmember. Install bushing until screw-drive stops, when bushing contacts Receiver on opposite side of crossmember.
- Remove tools.
1 - CROSSMEMBER 2 - MOUNTING BOLT AND NUT 3 - SPRING LINK 4 - MOUNTING BOLT AND NUT - Swing spring link (3) up to bushing in crossmember (1) and install bolt and nut (4) fastening spring link to crossmember. Do not tighten bolt at this time.
- Install rear spring as well as all components necessary to access it. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Lower vehicle.
- Position vehicle on alignment rack/drive-on hoist. Raise vehicle as necessary to access mounting bolt.
- Tighten spring link bolt at crossmember to 109 N.m (80 ft. lbs.) torque.
- Perform wheel alignment. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
