Diagnostic Test

  1. 1)   FUEL GAUGE OPERATION

    Turn the ignition off.

    Perform the *FUEL GAUGE INOPERATIVE diagnostic test. (Refer to ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING)(Refer to ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING) .

    After performing the *FUEL GAUGE INOPERATIVE test, use the DRB III(R) to erase PCM DTCs.

    Turn the ignition off, then back on.

    With the DRB III(R), read PCM DTCs.

    Monitor the DRB III(R) for this DTC.

    NOTE: It may be necessary to take the vehicle on a test drive.

    Did this DTC set again? 

    Yes 

    1. If the *FUEL GAUGE INOPERATIVE test passed, replace and program the Powertrain Control Module. (Refer to ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES/POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE - REMOVAL) .
    2. Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - VER 2 .

    No 

    1. Test Complete.
