Actuator Tests

CAUTION: When performing actuator test No. 17: BASIC IGNITION TIMING, ensure command is turned off before driving vehicle. Command will remain actuated for 27 minutes before returning to computer-controlled timing.

Scan tool can be used to command some computer-controlled outputs. This function can be used to check operation of circuits and actuators. It is also used to command no timing advance, allowing basic timing check. See Fig 1 .
