VTSS Fails To Arm From Liftgate Cylinder Lock Switch (Export Only)
NOTE:
After making any repairs, perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Open the passenger door and operate the door locks from the door lock switch. If the door locks operated properly, go to the next step. If the door locks did not operate properly, see ALL LOCKS INOPERATIVE FROM ONE LOCK SWITCH .
- Disconnect the liftgate cylinder lock switch connector. See Fig 1. Measure the resistance of the ground circuit to body ground. If the resistance is below 5 ohms, go to the next step. If the resistance is above 5 ohms, repair the ground circuit for an open.
- Disconnect the liftgate cylinder lock switch connector. Measure the voltage between the right door switch multiplex circuit and ground. If the voltage is approximately 5 volts, replace the liftgate cylinder lock switch. See DOOR LOCK SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in appropriate POWER DOOR LOCKS article. If the voltage is not approximately 5 volts, repair the right door switch multiplex circuit for an open.
