Removal & Installation: Receiver-Drier: Installation

  1. Install the small line from the receiver/drier to expansion valve on the new receiver/drier. Install the receiver/drier in the vehicle. Install the A/C line at the receiver/drier. Tighten the fastener.
  2. Install the receiver/drier bracket in the strut tower. Install the nut retaining the A/C line to the expansion valve. Install the bolt to the receiver/drier bracket.
  3. Install the engine air inlet tube and the air distribution duct on vehicles equipped with 3.2L and 3.5L engine. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
