Horns Fail To Sound When Alarm Is Tripped

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Using scan tool, activate horn relay. If horns do not sound, diagnose horn circuit. See HORNS FAIL TO SOUND  . If horns sound, go to next step.
  2. Ensure all doors and decklid are closed. Using scan tool, select INPUTS/OUTPUTS and observe DRV DR AJAR SW, PAS DR AJAR SW, LR DR AJAR SW, RR DR AJAR SW and DECKLID AJAR SW status. If scan tool display is incorrect for any ajar switch, diagnose appropriate door ajar circuit. See appropriate test under DOOR AJAR  . If scan tool display is correct for all switches, replace body control module.
