Air Bag Light Circuit Open

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off and wait 15 seconds. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, check for DTCs. If scan tool does not display AIR BAG LIGHT CIRCUIT OPEN, go to step  3 . If scan tool displays AIR BAG LIGHT CIRCUIT OPEN, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Ensure all related connectors are tight and not corroded. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove and inspect air bag indicator Light Emitting Diode (LED). Replace LED as necessary. If air bag indicator LED is okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  3. No problem is indicated at this time. Check for intermittent wiring harness or connector problems. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair wiring as necessary.
