All Locks Inoperative From Driver Door Lock Switch

NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn ignition and all lights off. Disconnect Black 3-pin driver door lock switch connector. See Fig 1. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between driver door lock switch connector terminal No. 3, ground circuit (Black wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open Black wire.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between driver door lock switch connector terminal No. 2, driver door switch MUX circuit (White/Dark Green wire) and ground. If voltage is less than 4.4 volts, go to next step. If voltage is more than 5.5 volts, go to step  6. If voltage is 4.5-5.5 volts, replace driver door lock switch.
  3. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect RKE module connector, located under pad in center of instrument panel. Using ohmmeter, check resistance of driver door switch MUX circuit (White/Dark Green wire) between RKE module harness connector terminal No. 10 and driver door lock switch harness connector terminal No. 2. See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open White/Dark Green wire.
  4. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between RKE module harness connector terminal No. 10, driver door switch MUX circuit (White/Dark Green wire) and ground. If resistance is 1200 ohms or more, go to next step. If resistance is less than 1200 ohms, repair short on White/Dark Green wire or in driver cylinder lock switch.
  5. Replace RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  6. Turn ignition off. Disconnect RKE module connector, located under pad in center of instrument panel. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between driver door lock switch connector terminal No. 2, driver door switch MUX circuit (White/Dark Green wire) and ground. If no voltage exists, go to next step. If voltage exists, repair short to power on White/Dark Green wire.
  7. Replace RKE module. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
