Driver's Door Key CYL Disarm SW Failure
- Using scan tool, clear any diagnostic any trouble. Using scan tool, read driver door zone switch voltage. If DRIVER'S DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about 2 volts, check for binding driver's door key lock. Replace driver's door key lock as necessary. If DRIVER'S DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about 2 volts, go to next step.
- Turn driver's door key cylinder switch to unlock position and observe liftgate switch voltage on scan tool. Do not hold key in unlock position for more than 7 seconds or code will set. If DRIVER'S DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about 2 volts, go to next step. If DRIVER'S DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about 2 volts, replace driver's door key cylinder switch.
- Operate driver's door key lock cylinder several times from unlock to lock position. Release key lock cylinder. With key lock cylinder in neutral position, observe scan tool voltage. If DRIVER'S DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is about 5 volts, system is functioning properly at this time. Fault may be intermittent. If DRIVER'S DOOR ZONE SWITCH voltage is not about 5 volts, replace driver's door key cylinder switch.
