Compass/Mini-Trip Computer AVG MPH Or Fuel Economy Inoperative/Wrong Or Compass/Mini-Trip Computer Trip Odometer Inoperative/Wrong

Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read engine information under monitor display. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE FROM PCM, go to NO RESPONSE FROM PCM under COMMUNICATIONS. If scan tool does not display NO RESPONSE FROM PCM, go to next step.
Using scan tool, observe TP sensor reading while depressing accelerator pedal. If TP sensor percentage does not increase while operating throttle, go to SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - CARAVAN, TOWN & COUNTRY, & VOYAGER article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE and perform appropriate test. If TP sensor percentage increases while depressing accelerator pedal, go to next step.
Raise and support vehicle. Start vehicle and place transmission in Drive. Using scan tool, read vehicle speed signal. Increase vehicle speed and observe scan tool. If vehicle speed signal increases as accelerator pedal is depressed, system is functioning properly at this time. Fault may be intermittent or pinion factor may be incorrect. Set pinion factor to ensure correct tire size is set for proper speedometer operation. See appropriate PINION FACTOR PROCEDURE in COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION. If vehicle speed signal does not increase as accelerator pedal is depressed, vehicle speed signal may be at fault.
