Test NS-9:Start & Stall Condition

  1. At this point in diagnostic test procedure, all engine electrical control systems have been determined to be operating as designed and not causing a start and stall problem. Following additional items should be checked as possible causes:
    • Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for a start and stall condition.
    • Check engine valve timing for proper timing belt installation.
    • Check engine compression.
    • Check exhaust system for restrictions.
    • Ensure PCV system is functioning properly.
    • Check for fuel contamination.
    • Check secondary ignition system.
