DTC P0600: Pcm Failure SPI Communications

NOTE: Communication between processors over the internal bus is monitored when ignition is on. DTC may be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when an internal bus communication failure exists between processors. Possible causes are a defective PCM. If PCM is replaced, PCM must be properly programmed. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING.

Turn ignition on with engine off. Using scan tool, check for DTCs. If DTC P0600: PCM FAILURE SPI COMMUNICATIONS does not exist, test is complete. If DTC P0600: PCM FAILURE SPI COMMUNICATIONS exists, replace PCM. PCM is located at driver's side front corner of engine compartment, just below air cleaner assembly. Perform TEST VER-2A  .
