Test NTC-38: Fuel Pump Circuit

  1. Disconnect fuel pump connector. Fuel pump connector is located under rear seat. Check for continuity between ground and Black wire at fuel pump harness connector. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire between fuel pump and ground connection G300. Ground is located under driver's seat.
  2. Remove fuel pump relay. Fuel pump relay is located on firewall at left rear corner of engine compartment. See Figure. Inspect fuel pump relay harness connector for damaged pins, corrosion or loose terminals. Disconnect and inspect Blue in-line 6-pin harness connector B-59. See Figure. Disconnect and inspect Blue 22-pin harness connector B-51. See Figure. Also check wiring between fuel pump and ASD relay. See WIRING DIAGRAMS. Repair connectors and wiring as necessary. If connectors and wiring are okay, replace fuel pump.
