MSM Module Provides Relay Click Sound When Power Seat Switch Input Is Selected, But No Reaction From Appropriate Motor

  1. Disconnect MSM module 10-pin connector. Connect jumper wire to MSM module 10-pin connector terminal No. 8 (Red wire). Connect second jumper wire to MSM module 10-pin connector terminal No. 7 (Black wire). See Figure . Connect jumper wires to MSM module 10-pin connector terminals of suspect motor. See MOTOR TESTS AT SWITCH CONNECTOR  table. Motor should operate.
  2. Reverse jumper leads at motor connector to reverse motor direction. If motor operates, replace MSM module. If motor does not operate, check continuity of wiring to motor connector from MSM module and repair as necessary. If wiring continuity is okay, replace seat track assembly. Motor assemblies are not serviceable separately.

4 (9) Recliner Up
9 (4) Recliner Down
(1) Battery is jumper wire connected to terminal No. 8. Ground is jumper wire connected to terminal No. 7.
