Instrument Cluster Test 6A - Gauges Not Going To Zero When Key Is Turned Off

NOTE: Perform INSTUMENT CLUSTER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove and inspect junction block fuse No. 7. If fuse is blown, go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TEST 6B  . If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect instrument cluster Red connector and ensure connector is clean and not damaged. See Figure in INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TEST 5G. Using external voltmeter, measure voltage at terminal No. 5 (Pink/Red wire) on instrument cluster Red 13-pin connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink/Red wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace instrument cluster.
