A/C Clutch Relay

  1. The A/C clutch relay is located in power distribution center at driver's side front corner of engine compartment, near the battery. Individual component testing is not available.
  2. If A/C clutch relay or wiring circuit failure exists, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM). See BASIC TESTING - 3.8L article. Since many computer-controlled and monitored components set a diagnostic trouble code if they malfunction, also perform procedures in TESTS W/CODES - 3.8L article.
