Front Window(s) Do Not Lower When Convertible Top Switch Is Pressed

  1. Remove driver's door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Light Green/Red wire) at each window relay wiring harness connector while pressing convertible top switch. See Figure and Figure . If battery voltage is present momentarily, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, replace window timer module and retest.
  2. Turn ignition off. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between ground and terminal No. 6 (Black wire) at each window relay wiring harness connector. If continuity exist, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open Black wire to ground.
  3. Disconnect both window relay connectors. Check continuity between terminals No. 4 (Light Green/Wire terminal) and No. 6 (Black wire terminal) at each relay. Terminals may also be marked on relay housing as No. 85 and 86. If continuity does not exist, replace relay and retest. If continuity exists, inspect power window circuit connections for loose, corroded or damaged terminals. Repair as necessary.
