Repairing DRB Blank Screen

  1. If DRB screen is blank, turn ignition off and disconnect DRB from Data Link Connector (DLC). Using DVOM, measure voltage at DLC terminal No. 16 (Pink wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, check fuse No. 13 and/or repair Pink wire between battery and DLC. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step.
  2. Using DVOM, measure resistance between DLC terminal No. 4 (Black wire) and ground. If resistance is greater than 20 ohms, repair open ground circuit (Black wire). If resistance is less than 20 ohms, go to next step.
  3. If DRB screen is still blank, substitute a different cable, cartridge or DRB until condition is corrected.
