Test 89A - One Door Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch

NOTE: For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER  section in this article. Perform TEST VER-1  VERIFICATION TEST after each repair.
  1. Remove key from ignition switch. Remove appropriate door trim panel. Inspect linkage from door lock to door latch. Repair linkage as necessary. If linkage is okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect door lock motor connector. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door lock motor connector terminal No. 1 (Orange/Black wire). Depress door lock switch to LOCK position. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Orange/Black wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Check voltage on door lock motor connector terminal No. 2 (Pink/Black wire). Depress door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink/Black wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace door lock motor.
