Transmitter Will Not Open Trunk Lid
- Ensure trunk latch mechanism operates by activating trunk release switch in glove box. If latch does not operate, repair as necessary. See DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK RELEASE - POWER article. If latch operates, go to next step.
- Using voltmeter, check for a voltage pulse on RKE module Black connector terminal No. 2. See Figure . Press transmitter trunk release button twice within 5 seconds. If voltage does not pulse, replace RKE module. If voltage pulses, repair circuit to trunk release solenoid. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
