No CCD Message From Body Control Module (Ja Body Only) (DTC 66)

NOTE: For circuit and connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 2.5L V6 article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
  1. Using scan tool, erase trouble codes. Start engine and allow to run for one minute. Using scan tool, read trouble codes. If scan tool displays NO CCD MESSAGES FROM BODY CONTROLLER, go to step 4).
  2. If scan tool does not display NO CCD MESSAGES FROM BODY CONTROLLER, condition required to set trouble code is not present at this time. The NO CCD MESSAGES FROM BODY CONTROLLER trouble code sets if no CCD messages are received from BCM for 30 seconds. Check possible causes: open CCD BUS (+) or (-) circuit between modules, Body Control Module (BCM) not powered up, failed BCM or failed Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Go to next step.
  3. Inspect all related wiring and connectors. Repair as necessary. Perform TEST VER-2 . If no problems were found with wiring and connectors, see INACTIVE TROUBLE CODE CONDITION . Perform TEST VER-2.
  4. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connectors. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of CCD BUS (+) (Violet/Brown wire) between PCM connector terminal No. 59 and BCM 14-pin connector terminal No. 2. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Violet/Brown wire. Perform TEST VER-2.
  5. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of CCD BUS (-) (White/Black wire) between PCM connector terminal No. 60 and BCM 14-pin connector terminal No. 13. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in White/Black wire. Perform TEST VER-2.
  6. Reconnect BCM connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY CONTROL MODULE. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, replace BCM. Perform TEST VER-2 . If scan tool does not display NO RESPONSE, replace PCM. Perform TEST VER-2.
