Test 98A - Left Front Door Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:

article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
- Turn ignition off. Remove right door panel. Disconnect door lock motor connector. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door lock motor connector terminal No. 1 (Orange/Black wire) while depressing left door lock switch to LOCK position. If voltage is less than 10 volts while depressing door lock switch, repair open Orange/Black wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of door lock motor connector terminal No. 2 (Light Green wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door lock motor. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Gain access to relay center, located under dash, attached to left kick panel. Remove door unlock relay. See Figure. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of door unlock relay connector terminal "E" (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire between relay connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Connect a jumper wire between door lock motor connector terminal No. 2 (Light Green wire) and chassis ground. Check resistance of door unlock relay connector terminal "B" (Orange/Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Light Green wire or Orange/Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door unlock relay.
