CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.0L article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
  1. Remove key from ignition switch. Open left front door. Gain access to door lock motor connector at door that is not operating properly. Disconnect door lock motor connector. Go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door lock motor connector terminal No. 1 (Orange/Black wire). Depress door lock switch to LOCK position. If voltage is less than 10 volts when door lock switch is depressed, repair open Orange/Black wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts when door lock switch is depressed, go to next step.
  3. Check voltage on door lock motor connector terminal No. 2 (Pink/Black wire). Depress door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If voltage is less than 10 volts when door lock switch is depressed, repair open Pink/Black wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts when door lock switch is depressed, replace door lock motor.
