VTSS Test 14A - VTSS Right Disarm Circuit

NOTE: Perform VTSS TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in BODY CONTROL COMPUTER INTRODUCTION. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool read right door arm/disarm voltage. If scan tool displays VOLTAGE 0, perform VTSS TEST 14B. If scan tool does not display VOLTAGE 0, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect right front door key cylinder switch connector and ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Using scan tool, read RIGHT DOOR ARM/DISARM VOLTAGE. If scan tool displays VOLTAGE 0, replace right front door key cylinder switch. If scan tool does not display VOLTAGE 0, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM 20-pin connector located at junction block. See Figure in CHIME TEST 3A. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on BCM 20-pin connector terminal No. 20. If voltage is greater than 0.5 volts, repair short to voltage in Dark Green/Orange wire between BCM 20-pin connector and key cylinder switch connector. If voltage is less than 0.5 volts, replace BCM.
