VTSS Test 14A - VTSS Right Disarm Circuit
NOTE:
Perform VTSS TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in BODY CONTROL COMPUTER INTRODUCTION. Perform TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool read right door arm/disarm voltage. If scan tool displays VOLTAGE 0, perform VTSS TEST 14B. If scan tool does not display VOLTAGE 0, go to next step.
- Disconnect right front door key cylinder switch connector and ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Using scan tool, read RIGHT DOOR ARM/DISARM VOLTAGE. If scan tool displays VOLTAGE 0, replace right front door key cylinder switch. If scan tool does not display VOLTAGE 0, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM 20-pin connector located at junction block. See Figure in CHIME TEST 3A. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on BCM 20-pin connector terminal No. 20. If voltage is greater than 0.5 volts, repair short to voltage in Dark Green/Orange wire between BCM 20-pin connector and key cylinder switch connector. If voltage is less than 0.5 volts, replace BCM.
