Power Door Lock Test 4B - One Door Fails To Lock/Unlock From Any Switch

NOTE: Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 4A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in BODY CONTROL COMPUTER INTRODUCTION. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Locate, but do not disconnect BCM 20-pin connector located at junction block. See Figure in CHIME TEST 3A. Using a test light, backprobe suspect BCM 20-pin connector terminal. Left front door lock is terminal No. 6 (Dark Blue/White wire), right front door lock is terminal No. 7 (Pink/Black wire), right rear door lock is terminal No. 8 (Pink/Dark Blue wire) and left rear door lock is terminal No. 9 (Pink/Light Blue wire).
  2. Using scan tool, actuate door unlock while observing test light. On vehicles equipped with Remote Keyless Entry (RKE), if left front door is suspect, actuate left front door unlock relay. On all vehicles, if test light did not come on, replace BCM. On all vehicles, if test light did come on, repair open in wire between suspect door lock motor connector and BCM 20-pin connector.
