Instrument Cluster Test 2A - All Gauges Do Not Operate

NOTE: Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in BODY CONTROL COMPUTER INTRODUCTION. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition to OFF (UNLOCK) position. Using scan tool, actuate gauges. If gauges move from lower to upper limits, go to next step. If gauges do not move, replace Mechanical Instrument Cluster (MIC).
  2. Turn ignition on with engine off. Using scan tool, select BODY, then BODY CONTROL MODULE and read ignition switch run/start status. If scan tool displays switch CLOSED, replace BCM. If scan tool does not display switch CLOSED, go to NO RESPONSE TEST 1A  .
