Test 65A - Open Left Door Ajar Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect left front door ajar switch connector. Check condition of connector and clean or repair connector as necessary. Connect jumper wire between left door ajar switch connector Tan wire and ground. If DRB displays LF DOOR AJAR : CLOSED, replace left door ajar switch. If DRB does not display LF DOOR AJAR : CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect jumper wire. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM), located behind right kick panel. Connect jumper wire between BCM Black connector terminal No. 1 (Tan wire) and ground. If DRB displays LF DOOR AJAR : CLOSED, repair open in Tan wire between BCM connector and left door ajar switch connector. If DRB does not display LF DOOR AJAR : CLOSED, replace BCM.
