Test 43C - Repairing Left Rear Door Ajar Circuit
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Disconnect left rear door ajar switch connector. Check left rear door ajar switch connector ground strap for damage or corrosion. Repair ground strap as necessary. If ground strap is okay, go to next step.
- Connect jumper wire between left rear door ajar switch connector (Tan/Red wire) and ground. Using DRB, read door ajar switch status. If DRB displays DOOR AJAR CLOSED, replace left rear door ajar switch. If DRB does not display DOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.
- Disconnect jumper wire. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind right kick panel. Connect jumper wire between BCM Gray connector terminal No. 3 (Tan/Red wire) and ground. Using DRB, read door ajar switch status. If DRB displays DOOR AJAR CLOSED, repair open Tan/Red wire. If DRB does not display DOOR AJAR CLOSED, replace BCM.
