Idle Speed Control (ISC) Servo Motor

  1. With ignition off, disconnect ISC servo connector. Check motor coil resistance between terminals No. 1 and 4. See Figure . At room temperature, resistance should read 5-35 ohms. If resistance is not within specifications, replace ISC servo assembly.
  2. Connect 6 volts between terminals No. 1 and 4. Ensure servo motor operates. If not, replace ISC servo assembly.
CAUTION: Applying more than 6 volts across terminals No. 1 and 4 of ISC motor connector could cause locking of the servo gears.
