RWD Models

  1. Start engine and run at normal operating temperature. Carburetor should be at curb idle and choke off. Remove the spring clip from the lost motion link stud. Clearance between stud and cable clevis should be 1/16" (1.6 mm). Insert a 1/16" (1.6 mm) diameter pin between cable clevis and stud. Loosen clip at cable support bracket.
  2. Pull all slack out of cable, making sure not to pull cable so tight that it moves throttle away from curb idle position. Tighten clip at cable support bracket to 45 INCH lbs. (5 N.m). Remove gauge pin and install spring clip on stud of lost motion link.
