Air Cleaner Monitor Setup: Description

The Air Cleaner Monitor Setup is used to inform the driver when the next service interval is required. The Air Cleaner Monitor displays the Air Cleaner Life Remaining as a percentage. The Air Cleaner Monitor Setup can be used to Disable / Enable the monitor and Reset the Air Cleaner Life Remaining percentage.

The control module K45 monitors several parameters:

• Air Cleaner Monitor Test Result
• Ambient Air Temperature
• Distance Traveled
• Engine Coolant Temperature
• Engine Load
• Engine Speed
• Humidity Sensor Intake Air Temperature Signal
• Time Since Last Service Interval Reset
• Total Mass Air Flow
• Vehicle Speed

If maintenance is required a message will be activated via serial data @ K73 Telematic Control Module

This procedure resets the control module learned values of the component / system: Air Cleaner Monitor - Air Cleaner Life Remaining
