Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

    Rear Seat Belt Buckle Bolt (3) - Remove

    Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Cap (1) - Remove

  4. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) - Remove
  5. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (3) - Remove

    Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)

    Disconnect the liftgate power assist actuator harness grommet (1).

  8. Release the 2 metal clips at the ends of the liftgate power assist actuator (2).
  9. Liftgate Power Assist Actuator (2) - Remove
