Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2021 Chevrolet Suburban. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Boot (1) - Install NEW [2x]

  2. NOTE:

    The upper brake caliper guide pin is equipped with a bushing and must be installed in the same position.

  3. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin (2) - Install [2x]
  4. Rear Brake Caliper (1) - Install

  5. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    DO NOT use any air tools to remove or install the guide pin bolts. Use hand tools ONLY.

  6. Electrical Connector (1) @Rear Parking Brake Actuator - Connect

  7. { If equipped }Rear Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (2) @Rear Disc Brake Pad - Install

    NOTE:

    Rear disc brake pad wear sensor heads are brittle and should be handled with care when installing.

  8. { If equipped }Rear Brake Bleeder Valve Cap (1) - Install
  9. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Steel Wheel) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Aluminum Wheel)
  10. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  11. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (9C1, 5W4) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)
  12. Calibrate the park brake. Park Brake Calibration
