Installation Procedure
Fuel Pump (2) - Install
- Fuel Pump Nut (1) - Install and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Diesel Fuel Separator Hose @ Fuel Injection Pump - Connect Diesel Fuel Separator Replacement
- Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe @ Fuel Injection Pump - Connect Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Fuel Injector to Fuel Rail) , or Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Fuel Pump to Fuel Rail)
Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Engage
- Electrical Connector (2) - Connect
- Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Hose @ Fuel Injection Pump - Connect - Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Hose Replacement
- Engine Oil Cooler Pipe - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LWN)
- Engine Mount - Install - Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side
- Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket - Install - Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Replacement (LWN)
- Fuel Injection Pump Drive Pulley - Install - Fuel Injection Pump Drive Pulley Replacement
- Replace the fuel filter. Fuel Filter Replacement
- Prime the fuel system. Fuel System Priming
- With the engine running, check the fuel system for leaks.

Refer to Fastener Caution .
WARNING:
High Pressure Lines deliver diesel fuel under extreme pressure from the injection pump to the fuel injectors. This may be as high as 1600 Bar (23, 200 psi). Use extreme caution when inspecting for high pressure leaks. Fuel under this amount of pressure can penetrate skin causing personal injury, or death. Wear safety goggles and adequate clothing when servicing this fuel system.
