Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to SIR Warning .

CAUTION:

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
Pull downward to remove the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover (1) from the windshield.

Fold the assist handle downward and hold. (2)
Use a small flat-bladed tool to open the assist handle covers to access the bolts.
Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt (1) - Remove [ 2x ]

Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) - Remove
Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) - Remove

Pull the trim panel toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retainers on both sides of the vehicle.

Fold the assist handle downward and hold. (2)
Use a small flat-bladed tool to open the assist handle covers to access the bolts.
Roof Rail Rear Assist Handle Bolt (1) - Remove [ 2x ]

Fold the rear seat back to the downward position.
Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) - Remove

Disengage the retainers, starting at the front and working rearward on both sides of the vehicle.

NOTE:

The Quarter Upper Trim Panel does not need to be fully removed from the vehicle.

NOTE:
There are 2 headlining trim panel retainers (1) located on the rear underside of the headliner (2), these are single use and must be discarded and replaced with new after removal.

Remove and DISCARD the retainer. (1) [ 2x ]

Lower the left rear corner of the headlining trim panel (1).

Disconnect the electrical connectors.
High Frequency Antenna Bolt (1) - Remove
High Frequency Antenna Retainer (2) - Remove and DISCARD
High Frequency Antenna (3) - Remove
