Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screws (1) - Remove [10x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screws (1) - Remove [3x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Remove [6x]

  6. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (2) - Remove [5x]
  7. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Retainer (3) - Remove [2x]

    Pull the front bumper fascia center air deflector (1) rearward and down from the front bumper fascia.

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove

  10. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]
  11. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (3) - Remove

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (3) - Remove

  13. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]
  14. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Remove

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  16. Front Compartment Air Deflector (2) - Remove
  17. If equipped, unclip the electronic suspension wheel front vertical accelerometer retainers from the front lower control front link.

    NOTE:

    Do NOT allow the ball stud to rotate while loosening the nut.

    Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Nut (1) - Loosen

    Using the CH-42188-B  Ball Joint Separator (1), separate the front lower control front link from the steering knuckle.

    Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Nut (1) - Remove

    Front Lower Control Arm Front Nut (1) - Remove

  22. Front Lower Control Arm Front Bolt (2) - Remove and DISCARD
