Circuit/System Testing
Test 1
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: S126 Drive Mode Select Switch
- Verify a test lamp turns On between the test points: Ground circuit terminal 10 & B+
- If the test lamp does not turn On
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points: Ground circuit terminal 10 @ Component harness & Ground terminal
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 ohms - Repair the open/high resistance in the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp turns On
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Test for greater than 11 V between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 13 & Ground
- If 11 V or less
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: X2 @ K124 Active Safety Control Module
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 13 @ Component harness & Ground
- If less than infinite resistance - Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 13 @ Component harness & Signal circuit terminal 16 @ Control module harness
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 ohms - Replace the component: K124 Active Safety Control Module
- If greater than 11 V
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Connect the electrical connector: S126 Drive Mode Select Switch
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Lane Keep Assist Switch Status = Inactive
- If not the specified state
Test or replace the component: c
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Operate the component: Lane Keep Assist Switch - Press and hold the switch
Verify the scan tool parameter: Lane Keep Assist Switch Status = Active
- If not the specified state
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: X2 @ K124 Active Safety Control Module & S26 Hazard Warning Switch
- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Test for less than 1 V between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 13 @ Component harness & Ground
- If 1 V or greater - Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If 1 V or less
