Installation Procedure

    Install the lock (1) to the vehicle.

  2. Install the lock (1) to the right side rear door.
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the 3 screws (2) in order to retain the lock (1) to the right side rear door and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the lock (1).
  5. Install the lock rods (3, 4, 5) to the lock (1).
  6. Install the right side rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side 60/40 Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24, 40 Door) , or Rear Side 60/40 Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24, 60 Door) .
