Removal Procedure
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief
- Fuel Pump Insulator - Remove - Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement (Inner) , or Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement (Outer)
- Fuel Feed Pipe @ Fuel Injection Pump - Remove and DISCARD - Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (At Fuel Injection Pump)
- Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe - Remove and DISCARD - Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement
- CAUTION:
Alternately loosen the fuel pump bolts one turn at a time until the pump is fully disengaged from fuel pump lifter follower. Trying to remove the pump bolts without even side-to-side loosening may result in pump plunger damage
Fuel Pump Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Fuel Pump (2) - Remove
- Fuel Pump O-Ring (3) - Remove and DISCARD
- Valve Lifter Follower (4) - Remove
