Installation Procedure
Battery Positive and Negative Cable (1) - Install
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Electrical Connector (3) @Steering Gear Assembly (2) - Connect
- Retainer (1) - Engage
Battery Positive Cable (3) - Install
- Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) @Starter Solenoid - Install and tighten 12.5 N.m (111 lb in)
- Battery Positive and Negative Cable Conduit Bolt (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- NOTE:
Catalytic converter removed for graphic clarity.
Starter Heat Shield (1) - Install
- Starter Heat Shield Fastener (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Lower the vehicle.
Battery Negative Cable Bolt (1) @Transfer Case (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Battery Positive Cable (2) - Install
- Generator Fastener (1) - Install and tighten 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
- Retainer (3) - Engage
Retainer (1) - Engage [5x]
Battery Negative Cable (2) - Install [2x]
- Battery Negative Cable Ground Nut (1) @Front Wheel Well Extension (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Install the battery tray. Battery Tray Replacement
Retainer (1) @Battery Tray (2) - Engage
Transmission Control Module Bracket (1) - Install - Transmission Control Module Bracket Replacement
Battery Positive Cable (1) - Install [2x]
- Battery Positive Cable (2) - Install [2x]
Fuse Block Nut (2) @Battery Fuse Block (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
- Fuse Block Nut (1) @Battery Fuse Block (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
Fuse Block Cover (1) - Install
Battery Positive Cable (1) - Install
- Engine Wiring Harness Junction Block Nut (2) - Install and tighten 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
- Terminal Cover (3) @Engine Wiring Harness Junction Block - Install
- Retainer (4) - Engage
Battery Negative Cable (2) - Install
- Battery Negative Cable Nut (1) @Battery Sensor Module (3) - Install and tighten 11 N.m (97 lb in)
