Installation Procedure

    Position the battery positive and negative cable in the vehicle. (2)

  2. Install the retainer. (1)

    Battery Positive Cable (3) - Install

    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) Install and tighten 17 N.m (13 lb ft)
  5. Install the positive battery cable protective cap to the generator terminal. (1) - Install

    Battery Positive Cable (2) - Install

  7. Starter Positive Cable Nut (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Battery Negative Cable (2) - Install

  9. Battery Negative Cable Frame Ground Fastener (1) Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Battery Negative Cable (1) - Install

  11. Battery Negative Cable Frame Ground Fastener (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  12. Install the battery tray. Battery Tray Replacement 
  13. Install the battery. Battery Replacement

    Battery Fuse Block Battery Positive Cable (3) - Install

  15. Battery Fuse Block Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) - Install and tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
  16. Close the battery fuse block cover. (1)
  17. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9) .
