| Condition | Some customers may comment that the parking assist control module chime is too quiet. |
| Cause | This condition may be caused by the chime sound, coming out through the rear speakers and is not adjustable louder through the radio controls. |
| Correction | An updated software calibration has been released to address this condition, that will move the chime sound from the rear speakers to the front speakers, so that it can be easier to hear. |
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Reprogram the parking assist control module. Refer to Parking Assist Control Module Programming and Setup in SI.
IMPORTANT:
Stable battery voltage is critical during programming. Any fluctuation, spiking, over voltage or loss of voltage will interrupt programming. Install the EL-49642 SPS Programming Support Tool (GM Dealer Equipment Item #PSC-550) to maintain system voltage. If not available, connect a fully charged 12 V jumper or booster pack disconnected from the AC voltage supply. DO NOT connect a battery charger.
