Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Verify no other DTC is not set.
    • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set 
  3. NOTE:

    A clear rear vision image is an image that is free of flickering, blinking, excessive blue/yellow hue, and/or blurriness/pixilation such that it obstructs the drivers view out the rear of the vehicle.

  4. Verify Rear Vision Camera Display operates properly. Refer to Rear Vision Camera System Malfunction (with IOB) Rear Vision Camera System Malfunction (with IO5/IO6) 
  5. Engine running, parking brake applied, transmission in R.
  6. Verify the scan tool BCM Backup Lamps Relay Command parameter is Active.
    • If Backup Lamps Relay Command parameter is not Active 

      Test or replace the K9 Body Control Module.

    • Go to next step: If Backup Lamps Relay Command parameter is Active 
  7. Test or replace the K74 Human Machine Interface Control Module.
