Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

    Remove the 2 intake manifold bracket bolts (2, 3).

  3. Unclip the wiring harness.
  4. Remove the intake manifold bracket (1).

    Remove the sensor bolt (1).

  6. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector.
  7. Remove the knock sensor (2) from the bracket (3).
