Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Diesel/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Drain the fuel tank. Fuel Tank Draining 
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    Fuel Tank Filler Vent Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  4. Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (2) - Remove
  5. Fuel Tank Filler Hose (3) - Remove

    Auxiliary Fuel Feed and Return Pipe (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  7. Fuel Feed Pipe (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  8. Fuel Return Pipe (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.

  10. Use a suitable strap to strap fuel tank to jack.
  11. Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
  12. Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Remove [2x]
  13. Partially lower the fuel tank to disconnect the fuel tank fuel pump module connector.

    Fuel Tank (1) - Remove

  15. If replacing fuel tank transfer parts as necessary.
