Exhaust Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 1

Engine Cover Replacement
1 Exhaust Temperature Sensor

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Release the retainers from the bracket.
  3. If reinstalling the old sensor, coat the threads with anti-sieze compound. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
  4. If replacing, perform the exhaust gas temperature sensor reset. Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Reset 
  5. If replacing, perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset 
NOTE:

Apply penetrating oil to the sensor and allow to soak for 10 minutes prior to removal.


Tighten 
45 N.m (33 lb ft)
