Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    NOTE:

    If reinstalling the old sensor, coat the threads with anti-sieze compound. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Temperature Sensor (1) - Install and tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb ft)

    Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Temperature Sensor Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Engage

  3. Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector (1) - Connect
  4. Engine Cover - Install - Engine Cover Replacement
  5. If replacing, perform the exhaust gas temperature sensor reset. Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Reset 
  6. If replacing, perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset
