Installation Procedure
- CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
NOTE:If reinstalling the old sensor, coat the threads with anti-sieze compound. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
Use a suitable deep, flare nut socket designed for removing/installing sensors install the EGR cooler temperature sensor (1) and tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
Install the EGR cooler temperature sensor wiring (4) in the clip (5).
- Install the EGR cooler temperature sensor wiring clip (2) to the bracket (3).
- Connect the electrical connector (1).
- Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose - Install - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose Replacement
- Engine Cover - Install - Engine Cover Replacement
- If replacing, perform the exhaust gas temperature sensor reset. Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Reset
- If replacing, perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset
