Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the vehicle direction camera cover. Refer to Vehicle Direction Camera Cover Replacement .

    To remove the windshield outside moisture sensor spring (1) push them and unlock the 2 retainer (2).

    3. CAUTION:

    A quick and careless movement of the sensor could damage the bonding gel of the sensor and lead into an entire replacement of the whole sensor assembly.

    NOTE:

    The sensor must be kept at an ambient temperature of at least 20°C (68°F) for a minimum period of 30 minutes, in order to release adhesive bondage of the sensor gel pad.

  3. GM3471719

    Carefully remove the sensor from the windshield by forceless back and forth motion on the connector side of the sensor.
