Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Be careful to avoid boot damage during installation, boot damage can cause weakened ignition system strength.

  1. Install the boot (2) to the ignition coil (1). The new boot is fully seated when it is within 1 mm (0.040 in) of metal shield.

  3. Install the EN-6009  remover/installer (1).
  4. Install the ignition coil (2).
  5. Remove the EN-6009  remover/installer (1).
  6. Install the ignition coil fasteners and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  7. NOTE:

    Note the arrow on the cover.

  8. Install the ignition coil cover in the opposite direction of the arrow.

  10. Connect the ignition coil electrical connector (2).
  11. Install the engine wiring harness guide (1) at the cylinder head.
